Jurisdiction note (CA)

Canada — a "Letter of Demand" should name the amount, facts, and a deadline. Provincial rules vary (e.g., Ontario’s Superior Court or the small claims division); some require specific demand wording before suing.

Legal note

Card "chargeback" is a separate route from a demand letter. UK/AU statutory consumer rights often require the seller to refund for faulty goods; US refunds are usually governed by the seller’s stated policy unless the item is defective.
